0.057p surely is just over 5p. You can't just taken out a few noughts, it changes the figure completely.

0.057p is less than half a pence. £0.057 is just over 5p.

My brother in law is the manager for an Orange shop... so I may even avoid the magazine purchase.

I think this thread should have been left in grabbit.. the magazine is a periodical after all, so wont be around for ever.
And it received 2 thanks in 1 minute.. more than a lot of the the threads in there get all week :)

There is absolutely no need to buy a mag to get this offer of 3000 offpeak and weekend texts.

You can buy the sim off their website for a £1 including p&p.They actually give you the £1 back in credit.
    See http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/sim_connection_pack

Once you have got the sim from them you can register for the offer and another free text offer see this thread.Cheaper then buying the mag eh!!! ;)

As you get the £1 back for the sim in credit i make that 3000 texts for Zilch. :D
    PF.
  • Just looked at the website and it looks like it's only valid if you top up £15 a month or more - is this right?
:DThe world would be a sad place to live with no chocolate! :D
  • It's like a maths lesson in here :D

I received a sim with 3,000 texts for free (posted on Freebies last week I think) and £1 credit, but as I gave it away, any ideas if the person I gave it to will receive the £1?

She reckoned I'd saved her £300 because she was paying 10p per text msg

As far as I can gather from the freebies I got, the first month of 3,000 texts is free and then if you top up with £15 a month thereafter you then get a further 3,000.

If the other person registered it she will get a £1 credit. In theory if you she would normally have made 3000 evening and weekend text messages in a month  ,thats approx 100 a day? they would have cost her £300 quid on the 10p tariff. The operative word being if!!!

As Edinburgh Lass points out you dont have to put the £15 in to get the first 3000 texts. You only need to put in £15 a month to keep on getting them.

By the way the offer does not just apply to new users, existing users can apply also .

Thanks for that pricefighter. It's all gobbledegook to me :o but I'll let her know. She's only 17 and some 17 yr olds seem to text a lot, but 100 a day's beyond even her capabilities/needs I think :D

I'll check that she's registered as well. And what Edingburgh Lass posted. Thanks again :)

It says on the orange site you have to credit the account with £15 THEN you get the 300 evening and weekend texts.
