He knew he had paid out money when h PAe decided to cheat, why should she now pay out money to him? It is because of his behaviour that he isn't going on the holiday in the first place.
You're missing my point, He paid out for a holiday, which somebody else is now taking.

No I see your point, but I think your wrong. Why should he get his money back after doing what he did?

She also did say 'he said he didnt want his half back'. So, I see no problem with her inviting her mum instead.
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.

We'll agree to disagree shall we?, by the sounds of it the OP is better off without him anyway.

the tavel agents have had a call from his sister (they think it was her) but the holiday is booked , paid for , and done, they are aware of the situation. as far as they were concerned he cant cancel, but they said they couldnt speak on behalf of his credit card company. so I will just have to wait and see. im hoping it will all be fine though.

My point was that He has now lost the monies that He paid out(irrespective of his behaviour), but hey!!!, thats ok, at least your Mum got a cheap holiday.

If the OP didn't go, he wouldn't have got his money back anyway.

Having no control over the little maggot in his pants is NOT a medical condition.

Whats the point in her missing out?

Its the least he could do (transfer the hol).
