Hi,
Anyone tried and sucsecsfully made a faster paying using LTSB Internet Banking?
I have contacted LTSB Internet help desk and according to them the faster payment has been launched as of yesterday but whenever I try to make a payment it tells me that it will take 3-4 days to reach the payee.
Thanks
MS

It depends whether the person/company you are paying has an account at a bank that is receiving FPs. Many aren't yet.
I made one this morning and wasn't expecting it to go through FP but it went very smoothly.0 -
I have tried HSBC and Barclays. They both accept faster payments but I cannot do it from LTSB. It is immediately transferred when I pay from HSBC to LTSB or from Barclays to LTSB.

See if the sort code is on the list:-

Mine (above) wasn't a very good example as, on checking, I find the the company I was paying is actually also at LTSB (I didn't notice at the time, as my sort code is 77 and theirs was 30!).0 -
If you look on the existing Faster Payment thread - that you've also posted this on - you will find the answer. To the effect they are FP for telephone payments only at the moment. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0

This website said they would start for internet payments on Thursday 5 June 2008. But this has been changed to "Further details on this will be available shortly."
The Google cache still has the original version: http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:RRgN0GbzSOwJ:www.lloydstsb.com/ways_to_bank_with_us/faster_payments.asp+http://www.lloydstsb.com/ways_to_bank_with_us/faster_payments.asp&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=uk0 -

I spoke to customer services at Lloyds TSB today who confirm that they have had to back out some of the faster payments being made on a per institution basis (e.g. to HSBC).
This is due to the large number of duplicate payments that were occurring and the level of customer complaints.0 -
I did a telephone transfer today via FPS. The operator said she thought it was active on internet transfers, but I still get the warning "up to four days" before I do final confirmation. I wish these banks would sort this out. At the moment I have to keep a note of which of my accounts works with FPS.0
