Tesco pulling products?

Thanks a lot for all of the replies. I went to the store (usually order online) the day after customer service told me they were discontinued and found them in the freezers, but now in packs of four with upped expense as was suggested would happen in earlier posts.

I agree with this especially. I was going to order a load of value products I'd found online before last week, and found they'd all gone. It's frustrating, but I still have to say that I'd never find any of the value products I've found online in store.

This is what I thought had happened as on their website they only had Alaskan Pollock, but they now sell cod and haddock in packs of 4 instead. Same price as Asda now.

Birds Eye seem to be using pollock as well- maybe to do with shrinking cod/haddock stocks? Actually, it's very hard to find haddock now - I started to avoid cod after reading where they feed;)

I phoned up customer services today and apparently they've been discontinued! I'm guessing the same is true with all the other disappearing products (fish and non-fish) I've noticed lately. It's an absolute pain because they've done this with no replacements and all those items that have disappeared were essentially the bulk of my orders.

Possibly not the right one, but hope it helps. Local Tesco had reduced items in separate freezer section. 6 breaded cod fillets £1.50, reduced from £3.59, some Indian meals reduced, mussels 68p...

i used to love the frozen chicken kievs. 6 in a box for £2, either ham and cheese or garlic. The disappeared a while ago. It turns out they have repackaged them and are selling them chilled, 2 kievs for £2. x

They used to do a fantastic cherry strudel bar in their frozen value range..was fantastic but dissapeared and never came back :mad:

a while ago tesco used to do cod kievs they were absolutely delicious, typically tesco seemed to stop doing it, and have never brought it back:mad: why do they do that??:mad:
