Tesco pulling products?

Has anyone else noticed how many products Tesco are pulling recently? My son has been eating tesco's cod fillets pretty much five days a week without fail for the last few years, but when I went to order them this week? None there! Just gone as though they never were; and the same happened with haddock. Plaice also.

I phoned up customer services today and apparently they've been discontinued! I'm guessing the same is true with all the other disappearing products (fish and non-fish) I've noticed lately. It's an absolute pain because they've done this with no replacements and all those items that have disappeared were essentially the bulk of my orders.

Tesco Mediterranean Squash, Green's Lemon Meringue Pie Mix, chocolate ginger biscuits and snowballs had been unavailable but now back in stock.

They may have been discontinued but they could come back, they could be changing the packaging or the product itself,

I've noticed some of the discontinued things come back after 2-3 months in a new box with more in them at a higher price...same stuff though and not improved!

for some bizarre reason our local has ceased to stock currants in dried fruit, although it still has raisins, sultanas etc etc.

yep my 3 local tesco have had none of the own brand wine gums in stock for weeks now....nothing else comes close(i must get out more) lol.

Couldnt find the big value bags of carrots today -no space in the veg shelf for them either

Also when you shop online, many value products arent even on the website

I'm sick of Tesco pulling this kind of trick again and again.

They bring in something nice. Lets say organic lemon balm and chamomile herb tea. You get a taste for it.
They discontinue it.
The bring out a Tesco version.

Its not organic, it has other flavouring, its just not as good.

We laugh as we go round looking at the number of shelf labels with the black word "discontinued" on.

If a product isn't pulling its weight or they think they can bring out a Tesco version out it goes. There seems to be less and less choice when you shop at Tesco.

was in Tesco's today and they seem to have replaced all the cod/haddock etc with "Fish" portions , whatever that is ( Pollock ??)
