I'd either throw it in the bin and make some sarnies or you can take it with you and feed it to the birds.

I love the stuff. I fry up an onion, garlic and some seasoning (whatever I fancy, herbs or spices) and throw in a few chopped veg then when they're cooked I add the couscous and then around double the amount of water (already boiling) and give it a stir for about a minute, simmering. Then I put a plate over the pan and LEAVE WELL ALONE for a few minutes to let the steam finish cooking it. (I don't have lids for all my pans yet.)

Then I fluff it up with a fork and maybe some raisins. It's nice cold too.

I never just pour water over it and leave it. I like to let it simmer very briefly first.

I love it with salmon, and it works hot or cold! I add fresh lemon juice & zest & chopped fresh corriander to it. Great wiht orange poached salmon : fresh orange juice & zest, chopped fresh corriander & a little honey smeared over the salmon then microwave for about 4 mins. If serving cold add some mayo:D

I use a stock cube in my water. I also add caraway seeds which everyone seems to love. like some of the others have posted, I fry off garlic and onions and maybe perrers etc and toss it all together. Its nice with poppy seed, lemon rind and lemon juice too.

I also have some little bouquet garni 'tea bags' that I put in the water sometimes. That works well.

I had such a great response to my sausgae casserole request I thought I'd ask about this as i don't want to end up chucking it out and it could become a favourite - who knows!!
