We love curry in our house -including all 3 of my kids. I love all those snacky things like rotis, puris and samosas -versions that don't involve deep frying would be great.

You're preaching to the converted here, but I'm always willing to pick up a few more tips. My basic curry recipes are all over this forum.

Personally, I try to aim for home, rather than restaurant cooking, but with Asian cuisine there is less of a differerence between the two than most. I use fresh ginger, and separate chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric and cumin (no Asian housewife or chef would ever use curry powder). I now don't use any extra salt, especially if I'm using things like stock cubes with a high salt content - even knowing that there should be a difference, I couldn't taste one. With a meat curry, I use just enough oil to get it going and then the fat in the meat takes over.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

I love veggie curry, especially if it is heavy on spinach and potato.
