Hi all been taken to court for non payment of water rates. I just soooooo forgot all about them.I was meant to set up a dd but forgot next thing court papers here. What do i do ? Will i get a ccj because of It? Cant afford to pay them all at once. £578. including costs.

you would have been sent reminders & final notices..how did you forget something you use everyday!

I suggest you call your water co * se if they can set up that dd now & avoid the extra costs you will get by going to court, it cost them to take you to court too so they MAY be willing to come to an agreement maybe..........

know what you sre saying but bill was only sent out in april it is june now so they taking me to court for a water bill i havent used yet?

have you been taken to court already? was this for last year or this year?

If you have been taken to court but weren't notifed of the hearing (and I mean that, not that you were ignoring the post you did receive) then I think there are procedures for getting around the court judgement but obviously you still owe the money.

or have you just had a threatening letter to say that you will be taken to court unless you pay?
