I didn`t know that there was also a climbing type, i think that i shall buy this one instead of the bush that i had before.
Does the climber go as mad and does it need much support?
Thanks

No that the plant has been identified, I'll add this to the existing plant identification thread to keep ideas together

I bought one about 3 years ago. It was in a 9" pot and cost about £4. It's now huge and beautiful :T
Here's a pic of ceanothus

Hi,
I have two plants appearing in my raised bed that i dont remember planting. (although that doesn't mean i didn't). I'm wondering if they are weeds???/
Can anyone help me identify them please (hope you can see the images growing things posting pics on here all new to me)
.
Many thanks

Going to guess at Rhubarb and weeds. I prefer Rhubarb and custard myself
We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0 -
Both are weeds. Pull them out before they flower and seed.
Not your veg tho - is it beetroot or salad leaves? They are looking good. Well done.[STRIKE]Fed up of being kippered by kids - new resolve - the NO word. Still at this[/STRIKE] Dam they struck again!!
Stay focused on the bigger plan - :rolleyes:0 -
Not sure about the first one but the second is definately a weed... really if its a plant growing where you either don't want it or didn't plant it then I'd just pull it anyway...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

weeds definately0

first one, may be chick weed
second one a weed with I think rhubarb chard at the top side of it.0 -
Does the first one have furry leaves? Just pulled a load of that out of the allotment. I think it has a nice flower but it didn't get the chance
The second one looks like a member of the cabbage family. However, it will crowd the beetroot. Pull it out0 -
Top one - euphobia i think, pull it up.
Bottom one, beets. and Fat Hen. Considered a weed but makes half decent eating when it is that young. Take a leaf and try it, mild flavour and sort of fat feel in the mouth. The leaf breaks rather than crumples on eating. Would be fine in a mixed salad.
Am going to try cooking a bit this weekend although mine is a bit older. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
