Have I been seriously ripped off on eBay?

I purchased some furniture 2 weeks ago from a PowerSeller with 500+ feedback on eBay. I was told the arrival time was 7 to 10 days, which is fine.
A few days ago, they are suspended from eBay. After contacting them through their web site, I am emailed on May 29th to say that they will complete the transaction, and the goods were on order from the manufacturer.
Today their web site is suspended by the hosting company.
I spent £440, £180 from my Paypal balance and the rest on credit card (all through Paypal). I've opened a Paypal dispute, to which there was a practical immediate response providing a courier company name (which I've never heard of), and a tracking number of zero, in what appears to be a time delaying tactic whilst the company withdraw their money and do a runner (Paypal will resume investigations in 2 days if I do not close the dispute).
They are a limited company, and I have a contact number and two addresses (one address from the domain name records, the other from companies house records, both in Warwick). The contact number just rings and rings and rings, with no answer.
This is the first time in a very long time (years) this has happened to me. This is a serious amount of money. I'm a fool and it looks like I've lost my money

on the upside, you should get your credit card payment back.
On the downside, perhaps not - it all went through paypal

Mac Sami - what level of buyer protection was paypal offering on the item.
If it was £500 (hopefully it was based on powerseller, 500+ feedback), you should be able to claim successfully from paypal"Now to trolling as a concept. .... What is the company name - I may be able to check them out further. We use a system here to credit check potential business customers and I can run them through there. Even gives me the home addresses of the directors- but obviously I cannot give these details over lol.If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0

The seller had £500 protection.
The company is Furniture For You Ltd.
Their web site (was) https://www.ffy.uk.com
Thanks for your replies so far.
I can only wait for the outcome of the Paypal dispute, and take up the issue with my credit card company.
I'm ashamed more than anything, I must have missed an obvious sign that I was going to be duped.0 -

This may not be good news for you, but the company is based in Warwick and are at present in Liquidation (even though there decent Shareholder funds), they have a few CCJ's against them, and the directors do not own any other companies. I do not think they will be shipping your goods in the near future...
I also have the names and addresses of the directors but I will not publish this information. If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0 -
Have you tried getting in touch with the courier?0

Are you certain the company name is not
FURNITURE FOR YOU (RUGBY) LIMITED
Registered number: 06574303
The registered address of this company is in Warwickshire. This company is not in liquidation.
As theatretony correctly said, the company FURNITURE FOR YOU LIMITED is in liquidation. This has reg. no. 04567976 but has a current registered address in Sheffield.
Edit: The registered office possibly only changed recently as it is now the liquidaters office. Wind up date/practitioner appointed: 21-May-2008"Now to trolling as a concept. .... The contact number I was given matched the contact number you posted above. The seller said they were based in Warwick, and the address I have from Companies House is:
FURNITURE FOR YOU (RUGBY) LIMITED
8 JURY STREET
WARWICK
WARWICKSHIRE
CV34 4EW
However, I noticed that Furniture For You Limited, on Companies House, is in liquidation, but based in Sheffield?
As far as I was aware, the company name was Furniture For You Ltd, but it seems unlikely, given that the company is based in Warwick (apparently), so would match up with Furniture For You (Rugby) Ltd.0
