  • Catch a grip women! Why is something to do with our bodies so disgusting/ something to be ashamed of. I'm really disappointed by the attitudes expressed on this topic. We're not living in the 1950's/ at primary school. Have you seen tampons/ sanitary towels floating in the sea - that's 'yuck'. Using methods other than those the sanitary product companies would like us to keep buying, and therefore making a 'green' and money saving choice makes perfect sense to me. Sorry if I sound cross but I can't believe how narrow minded people can be!

Actually I just read this whole thing and all the info on the page and personally not for me, but I think its a good for those who don't mind using these type of things. To be honest the thought of one floating past in the sea seems worse than having to wash your own, if you've had a baby i'am sure you have had to deal with a lot worse after giving birth.
People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...

It is much easier to see other people's failings than our own.

Maybe your view is seen as narrow minded?
The *monthlies* are a personal time for each and everyone of us, and i personally couldnt deal with the mess of washing these things.
We had a giggle at something a bit different to the *norm*, nothing for you to start preaching the ethical view on.
And yes before you ask i do want to see a planet around in my grandkids lifetime......................but that still doesnt change my reaction to this product. x

Congrats on your first post. I think you will find that most of the posts on this thread are light hearted banter not to be taken too seriously. You should see the replies on some of the Sex toys competitions lol

hahahaha! the YUCK in my mind is the design of those things! They are horrid! - I'll stick to other eco friendly versions thanks!

Perhaps that is the 'yuck' on everyone elses minds rather than the bodily function they are to serve.

OMG , that is one eco product I can do without. How on earth do you wash them? I wouldnt want them in with my other clothes , nor would I want to hand wash them. Whatever next washable toilet roll?
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A

Pigpaws, it is really the bad taste of people who designed such an innovation, not your mistake. Thank you for trying and please don't let this put you off posting!

I just want to ask what is 'green' ??? in using washing machines, electricity, water, washing powder, dryers, etc to clean such a mess, or are we expected to handwash them???. YEAH, RIGHT!

Oh and just imagine the amount of washings that you have to do if you were to 're-use' these things.

Another 'YUCK!' from me! The idea is absolutely sickening.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw them. I'm not squeamish, 6 kids and washing all sorts of lovelies off clothes over the years soon knocks that out of you! But I can't understand the eco part of the argument  . Why don't the clever-heads behind this design an eco-friendly throwaway towel that completely bio-degrades like the carrier bags the co-op use? Just my tuppence-worth. Other than that, as I always say, each to their own!;)
