cograts to everyone who has completed the access course, you should all be very proud of yourselves! :T :T

i will be starting access to nursing in september and i am soo excited. my ex parents always told me i was too stupid to do something like that, so when i get to uni and graduate i plan on sending them a copy of my degree certificate just to prove them wrong!

it sounds like although its really hard work, you all really enjoyed doing it as well

good luck to you all for uni :D

Well done! I have just finished the first year of my uni course and have decided to do a MA in social work adding my total uni time to 5 years.

Fair play to you but aren't you gonna be bored of studying by then? I've always intended on doing my masters and then a Phd in social work. But after finally completing my access and three years of uni, I just wanna work properly and get some money together!

Good luck in your access course, you'll love it. you go ahead an prove your ex wrong ( same story as me and my ex) What an idiot! wouldn't it be good to see the look on his face. To be honest, getting as far and going on an access course is an achievment, so be proud of yourself.:D

To do the job I want to do I have to do a masters in social work, the studying doesn't bother me. I would rather get it over with whilst the kids are young.

    :p Me again!

Can i ask roughly the kind of stuff you do in this course? Is it like coursework like in GCSE'S and A level's? or more exam based?

My course is coursework, no exams, although we did have to do a timed assignment, whereby we knew the title of the essay and we had to research it then were given 2 hrs in a classroom (like exam, no talking etc) to write it. I'm not sure if that was just my course or if others have done it, plus I only did one this way.

All coursework, few presentations, full on.They say doing access is good because it gets you used to the pressure of a constant workload
