i've got silicone bakeware. i love it. bought all from ebay. but i've found it has all stained ( from first use) and i just can't get it cleaned. tbh i've never made a cake in them. i have a pie dish one which i use for quiches and home made pies and a 7inch round which i use for making toad in the holes or flapjacks. also a mini muffin tin type one which i use for yorkies. Is there a reason they stain. could it be because they are cheaper brands ? any ideas on how to clean. i have scrubbed, soaked, wiped when hot. nothing shifts it.

I wash mine in the washing machine - it's the only way I've found that gets them really clean and cleans off all residue.

ubamother, thanks for the tip.i've noticed my pink silcone stains more than my blue. so i'm wondering if it the colour. but i was in dishwasher so i know they all sterile , just don't look as good as did. but i don't use them for cakes only on high temps so that could be another cause. but thankyou anyway.

May seem a daft question but are the silicone moulds/cases the poundland have started stocking any good? I have bought a dozen fairy cake cases and a teddy bear mould. The teddy bear i dont mind if it can only be used for jelly and the likes but i would be greatful to hear opinions please.
