Sorry for being dense IA.....many many happies to you
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

I am sick of being treated like an outsider just because I didn't go to university with Hubbles friends.
Since moving to Glasgow they are our main social group but I am constantly being left off invites and excluded from girls' days out because (apparently) they didn't think I'd want to hang out with HIS friends if he wasn't there. Am I too naive to think I have a right to consider them my friends too as we've known each other for over five years now. I honestly feel like crying.
Its mainly a couple of the girls that are the problem. They're all smiles to your face but whispered conversations fall quiet when I enter a room and I know they !!!!! about me when I'm not there. sounds frustrating lucifa.... but i think you gave out some good advice to someone only yesterday who was being ignored by a neighbour.... some people are not worth knowing if getting to know them causes you grief!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

Do you want to be with THEM if that's how they are?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

I have a degree, but that doesn't make me any better than you. People who have this attitude really irritate me .
And I am sure more people would like to know me because of my blue and red spotty pants than because I have a £12,000 piece of paper
:rotfl:
Anyway they are probably not worth knowing and you are a far better person as you treat everyone as an individual and not ask how educated they are first!Current debt - £16,300
Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

Good job the milkman was off sick....:p0 -
Well I wouldn't voluntarily spend any one on one time with some of them (to be fair a few of them a real sweethearts) but they are Hubble's best mates from uni and i feel the need to make an effort - I don't want to feel he's choosing me over them (note I have no doubt over his loyalties:p ) because I think a healthy relationship needs more than 2 people in a bubble (however nice that may be occasionally:rolleyes: ) to be healthy.
I have taken all the hot/cold treatment !!!!!ing and feeling excluded in the hopes that as they get to know me they'll want to me friends with me as me and not just an extension of him (does that make sense?) but 5 years on and all but 3 of the 10 are just as sniffy as ever.
Sorry to go on about it but for all my talk about 'bubbles' and healthy relationships I'm pretty isolated and have found it really difficult to make friends since breaking up with exOH 5 years ago:o26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Thanks -its not degree snobbery - I have a first class all of my very own and a professional qualification:p . To be a complete beatch for 5 seconds if it came to a test of intelligence or even common sense I'd wipe the floor with several of them...
But I'm not considered part of the group, am constantly made to feel unwanted and desparatley trying not to let Hubbles fall out with them because of it because I don't want him to cut himself off a really important part of his life.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
