Guess its ok for your kids to have clogged up arteries so long as they don't look fat and ugly :p

    Please don't be so sensitive!
Like I said we do not even use the frier every week. You ever made an onion bhaji in the oven?

If you're not gonna use it then get rid of it. However I disagree with a couple of posters...

Yes, well your kids are obviously going to grow up as well balanced sensible individuals! Honestly, the odd fish n chips isn't going to kill anyone!

I gave my old one away after not using it for a few months, and ended up regretting it, hm chips taste so much nicer when they are fried, and as we only have them bout once a month they are not that unhealthy, so i ended up buying a new fryer
enjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)

I voted get rid. You have not used it for months therefore it is time to get rid and clear some work space in the kitchen!

I love HM wedges or chips done in the oven with a variety of spice, lovely and healthy and so tasty.

    Keep it

I don't use mine very often at all, but when I do for hm chips, onion bhajis they are yummy.

I hate the smell so use an extension lead and put it in the back garden away from the back door so don't get that chip fat smell in the house.

It is a pain to clean it though.

My comments were regarding those made my sarahsaver in a previous thread about ready meals

QUOTE=Sarahsaver;5160707]Ooh my inner narrator is on my head (if / when I ever set foot in a large supermarket) having a good old rant...'no wonder you can hardly push the trolley you are so darn fat from all the cakes/pies/fizzy pop in your trolley. Can you not SEE your fat **** children, couch potatoes the lot of you. Children are not supposed to look like that. Don't have TIME to cook but you will spend at least an hour plodding around mr tescos chosing BOGOF frozen processed meat, spend less on all that rubbish food and you could join a gym or get some clothes that fit AAARGH!!!'
Judgemental? Moi? LOL But really it's up to them if they want that lifestyle...

Happened to pop into a tesco (it's near the swimming pool where we took the boys today), although other supermarkets are just as full of the great 'non-cookers' DS saw some chocolate cornflake cakes 99p for 4!!! Daylight robbery![/QUOTE]

Was trying to make the point that we all do things we are happy living with, she feels its ok to give her kids fried food (and yes I know the occasional fish & chips is different to fried stodge everynight). And I do believe there was a :p at the end of my post :D

Years ago, when I was skint, I used to cook chips in a frying pan ;)
I've voted get rid ... but I'm not going to slam deep frying per se ... I use the wok :o

We don't have 'real' chips very often now and if we do ... we go to the chippy

  • Keep it, oven chips cooked in the oven are horrid but done in a fryer they are great.
Nothing to see here, move along.
