  • Hello,

Maybe the slices were too thin, as you said. I've had success before using a potato peeler to slice the potato and butternut squash (yum!) so I recommend you have another go :)

You can even get a special tray to make crisps in that you pop in the microwave.I have one, beetroot and carrot crisps are lovely
  • i make y own fro carrots, parsnips and sweet potato
i slice to abt £1 coin thickness, put in a sandwich bag, add flavour* add half a teaspoon - a full teaspoonful of olive oil, give a good shake, pour onto a baking tray and cook at 180degrees for roughly 10-12 mins

    flavours i do are:
    Paprika
    rosemary n thyme
    salt
    salt n vinegar
salt n pepper (all sea salt)
    lemon

(cant remember what else ive tried)

these will be thicker than what you've tried, but would be a good starting point till you get what u like :)

I think I just did them direct on the turntable - but probably because my plates don't microwave well!
