I was responded to Harry's post where he referred to people as bears and bulls. Cant see the problem myself. Maybe you should take your issue up with him
you've called me a bull a number of times. i actually called it 20% down then and didn't believe in 40% or 50% drops.
it was probably because i said that the price drops were a correction not a crash. the real bursting of the bubble hasn't happened yet.
i'm a bull for thinking this way? it's ignorance from these 'bearish' posters who throw this description about, that's the only way to explain it.0 -
Don't you two ever think about anything other than house prices?
There's an election, on tomorrow, you know - if you took off the rose-tinted specs, you might notice.0 -
Oh, excuse Emy and chucky from talking about house prices on this house price board! How terrible!"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0

so who are the bulls from 2007 then...

I dont know what you predicted as I understand you have deleted all your posts from the time in question. As I say Harry brought up the Bull and Bear thing. For me I would say you are bullish on prices at present where you are in the future and where you were in 2007 I do not know thats why I said maybe Harry should bring up people who are bullish on prices now posts from 2007.0 -

i'm not bullish on house prices at all - i just don't believe in the massive falls that your ilk predict.0 -

flippin' heck, give me a chance!! I'm looking but it's not as easy to find as the wild predictions of the 'bears'"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -
Well, CarolT's forecasts were WRONG weren't they!:p:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

wow - really big numbers.
that would be only about 3,000 properties - what was your point?
M&S made a trading profit of £509 million in 2009. Is that a small number too?
Is it your assumption that the properties are totally worthless?
BTL is far wider issue than a few amateurs with miniscule portfolios. The banks and building societies have taken sizable hits that go under the radars as property is sold off either at auction or by tender.0 -
i wouldn't believe the stuff that carol says - her stories are closer to Jackanory than reality. there's a search function at the top of the page btw.
Er..you mean like pointing out you'd deleted your old posts?
You yourself agreed you'd done just that, I think it was yesterday.
You claimed it was for security reasons.
You've admiited it, yesterday.
So how on earth is my claim a 'Jackanory story' (whatever that may be)? You verified what I said yourself. Yesterday.0 -

i like your post - it's a great example of how to reply to a post with something completely different to deflect the initial mistake. well done :T0
