I'm actually really enjoying this. Whilst I found their orange skin rather odd, they obviouslly put a lot of thought into how they want a house. I never realise how little I really care about making a statement. I'm quite happy that my modest flat is clean and bright.Happy chappy0

Yep, I'll have a bar there, a large piece of astroturf there, a swimming pool there, a pinball machine and the jukebox there, more astroturf there, another bar over there..... etctomstickland wrote: »they obviouslly put a lot of thought into how they want a house.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
My broadband is too poo to watch most streaming things from iPlayer, so 24 hours on and I've still not watched it. I get just the first 10 seconds.
Going to give it another go now. Broadband speed is just 0.4Mbps at the moment though
Virgin .... sucks0 -
I'm afraid to say that I know the estate that their house is on, and quite frankly I would be very surprised if they ever could sell it at £475k, even if their pool was full of liquid gold.
When the wind blew in the wrong direction my house, not a million miles away from PT, would have all yellow dust laying on the window sills.
Maybe when they lie out by their pool they got covered in some orange stuff?
Methinks they never intended to move they just did it for the fame!!0 -
Well, I've watched it all now, and think the program itself is pretty poor "aspirational" property !!!!!!. Did the presenter's trousers get tighter with each house? "Jenny Tighpants". Despite their slightly wild tastes, the family seemed pretty switched on - their decision making was interesting; they seemed to reach consensus pretty easily.
One thing I did notice was the number of TV sets in the houses. Why ruin a nice house with a proliferation of consumer tat?Happy chappy0 -
I am downloading it for iPlayer. But it will take 2h 30mins to arrive
It is 307MB!0 -
I watched that on iplayer ... it got so I was pre-empting her and guessing which rooms she'd suggest needed a bar lol (wasn't hard, it was pretty much every room

I did notice that Ms Tightpants seemed to be becoming a bit frustrated when showing them round the first house and asking "do you have any thoughts of having a traditional country house?" or words to that effect.
I'm not being smug or anything, but I just watched it on streaming, but seem to have a massive 7.6MB/s rate here.Happy chappy0 -
Can you google something for me? "Smack somebody over the head over the internet" ... see if there's a download for that. If there is, can you download it and do a self-test.tomstickland wrote: »

I've got a mobile phone card in a laptop that gives me a faster speed than this.0 -
I have to say I can't remember the last time I laughed so much as when watching this!
Imagine what the family would have made of a Grade 1 listed property!0
