Concur with Wiltshire being bee-central right now! Far more than last year and both honey bees and bumble bees.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

For me this is a rare moment this year - one of the three bees I have seen today in my garden - one more than yesterday, so things, I hope, are picking up. :TIf many little people, in many little places, do many little things,

An usually warm patch early in the Spring, followed by a cold snap (such as we had a few weeks ago) usually spells doom for the wildlife. Everything wakes up early because it is warm, but there isn't enough food so everything dies when the cold sneaks back in.
This is what I've noticed, we had loads of bees awhile ago and then there was a lot of rain and strong winds as well as cold and I've hardly seen any this week at all. I'm also in the west of scotland just south of Glasgow.Just call me Nodwah the thread killer0 -
^^ Samsung Digimax D103 - I like it because it is small enough to carry around, seems to take some half decent photos (10mp) - (and perhaps most importantly at the time it was on special from Currys with some extras, about a year ago )If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.

I think we had the whole country's worth of bees in our garden yesterday either on our buddlea globus or in my daughters paddling pool! Had to rescue quite a few who tried to go for a swim!0

My French lavender is visited by bees all day. Can't remember there being so many last year, but I guess the lavender's grown so can fit more bees on there in one go!!

Sad to say, I am still counting in ones (bees) and twos (wasps). If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,
they can change the face of the world.
