    If your laptop used electricity worth 14p in an hour it would literally melt! and burn anything it was touching.

    A typical laptop uses about 30 watts. So it will run for approx 3 hours for 1p(one penny)
  • We are in 3 bed house with gch and unheated conservatory. We pay £86 a month to EDF. think my gadet needs a full month reading b4 I can get an accurate idea of my usage. In meantime I am searching energy saving bulbs for candle style chandalier and a cooker that is cheap to buy and run (broken one was fan assisted) - any advice please?
