    Hi Bat,

    I just can't resist giving my thoughts on the weekend, given that I'm always overjoyed to embrace Friday at 5:00pm.:j :j :beer: :beer:

    Because of our financial adventures over the last couple of years, :eek: I have now spent the longest period of time in my adult life working as a paid employee, :mad: as opposed to running our own business. :cool: I have to say, in total honesty, that I find it the most unrewarding, soul destroying way of earning a living,:eek: :mad: and can't wait until we're in a position to get back into business again.:rolleyes:

    That does make the prospect of the weekend so very attractive, :j :j but it can be incredibly frustrating because there are always a million and one jobs to be done, that have been put off through the week,:mad: and the time we actually spend relaxing is minimal.:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

    By the time Monday morning comes around again, :mad: :mad: it doesn't feel as though we've actually had any quality time together.:confused::confused:

    I don't think it matters whether you work or don't work, the key to enjoying life, both the week and the weekends, :j :beer: is to try and spend your time doing things that you find rewarding.:D :D Once you get stuck in a way of life that doesn't seem to be going anywhere, :eek: :eek: it becomes increasingly difficult to have a real "joie de vivre".

    My short term plan is to sell the house;:D move into a caravan;:cool: quit work,:j :j and start up in business as a window cleaner / odd job man / garden maintenance, :cool: :D :cool: anything that doesn't have the bullsh1t associated with a full time job.:T :T

    Rich

    Rich....if that post did`nt make Bat smile then nothing will !!! I count 34 icons there!!! is that a record!! :rotfl:

    Ps I remember the days when I could afford a window cleaner...& a gardener!!

    edit 35 actually!!

    I think Sundays arec the worst sometimes. You can't do anything, something !!!!!! that needs sorting always arrives in Saturdays post. I'm crashing a lot lately for no reason other than being tired with life. The worst are nightmares, my mind is saying awful things like my child is dead and I wake up feeling like I'm having a heart attack. I don't understand it at all, the kids are fine and healthy, money is okish, Dh is rewasonable but I'm stuck in a bloody pit of despair.:confused:
    I could do with a slap sometimes.:eek::eek:

    Hi Bat

    I hope you feel a bit better.
    I can relate to the weekend thing- I used to love Fridays and loved the weekend, just doing normal stuff, watching telly (Hollyoaks omnibus), stuff like that. Now, although I like not having to go to work, I cant really say I do enjoy the weekend anymore. I feel bored, anxious and listless and a bit at a loss really.
    I dont think its the money as a lot of the stuff I did before was cheap/free anyway- just doing garden, walking, reading etc. Now, I never do any of this, I just sort of drift through the day feeling bored and a bit lost.

    I put it down to the massive amount of stress Ive been under for the last 6 months or so. The run up to bankruptcy was sheer Hell, and I think I got a bit consumed by it and spent all week/weekend constantly thinking and worrying about it. Now its all gone quiet, I feel a bit empty. Its almost as if I need something to worry about, and I find myself fixating on things to obsess about. Maybe I need the OR to come and threaten me with a BRO so then I can fill my life up with fretting again.
