Thanks everyone for your good wishes. I (44 until tomorrow) walked with my Mum (67) and she had to keep stopping so I could catch up :rotfl: so the good pace was down to her. Between us we will have raised over £1000 for the local Hospice so today's aches and blisters are well worth it.

Pink - glad that the problem with the friend is slightly less worrying and she is making contact

GnB - good reasons for making your decision - which course have you decided, with or without the physics?

    Boni - baking sounds great

Soappie - one last job to add to your list - photo for us nosey types!

Michelle - keep resting and enjoying your family

Well lots of good work done by you all in the garden, I managed a bit of watering!

Wonder what the queen of S&M has in store for us?
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board

Decided to do it without Physics, just a straight BSc in Maths.

I did a roast too but we did eat it outside.

I've just done most of the living room - little bit to finish tomorrow and then that will be one room done for the week.

Lil_me glad it is not only me, there are just not enough hours in an day. I have changed my diet this week after having some blood tests done and cut out lots of things (diary, wheat, eggs) I have found it hard but I do have so much more energy.

Right going to iron the curtains - pole and picture rail all wiped so they can just go straigh up. Also need to do a bit of uniform.

I'm a bare foot girl, inside, outside, friends house where ever. We do have lots of hard flooring so if it is cold I put slippers on. Our house is a shoe free zone. I have various pairs of shoes scattered around for slipping on to drive in etc

    Evening all

Where did the weekend go? Again?

I went in to my Nan's yesterday. Turns out she went over to a neighbours and left a pot on  during the week. So there was dried exploded casserole all over the hob, cupboards, extractor etc. So being a dutiful GD, I cleaned the kitchen while everyone else had lunch. Then we all had a big row with her over the smoke alarm. She wanted one of us to take the batteries out, but of course, we wouldnt. So she's threatening to trash the alarm with her walking stick. Any advice on what to say to a stubborn 88 year old???

Anyhoo, its been a lovely day here today. My oldest, bestest friend from primary school popped over to see me. No viewers, quel shock! So I have been looking at gumtree checking out potential tennants. Need to crack on with that and apply to be a landlord and a thousand and one other things :D

    G&B - good choice :D

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Hiya
Does flying in the garden and at the allotment count? I've also done three washes, dried all clothes outside, dw, a tiny bit of s/s and that's about it. Lunch and dinner was left overs to use up what had been half used through the week. I need to remember to stay in tomorrow between four and six for waitrose delivery...before you all think i'm rich it's £100 worth of stuff for just over £50.

Had a fab night out for friends birthday yesterday. Lovely restaurant which was quiet so we were sat chatting for four hours without getting turfed out.

I was very tempted to have a glass of wine today but I didn't so still on target to have no alcohol for ten weeks. Children and DH had an icecream today and I was very virtuous and didn't have one. Let's hope it shows when I weigh myself in the morning.

Going to have a read back over the thread now. Hugs to all xx
