If the 'Bail-Out' goes through this afternoon, will the share price rise sharply?

    Yep very true

The same as they rose when when over 220 billion was invested back into the banking industry the other week, but for how long did it last ;)

But if Lloyds are putting a value of £2.08 per share, then surely they cannot rise past £2.08? I am watching bbc news live and they say we will hear this afternoon
  • There is no fixed price, its a ratio of 0.83 and it wont finalise for months

True, however Lloyds are setting the deal at a fixed price of £2.30 per share, so 0.83 of that works out around £2.32. So overall if Lloyds take with the fixed rate for HBOS share holders then shareholders will receive 0.83 of each HBOS share, does that work out correct?

You can make as much as you like, the more you buy the more you make.
It's just like in a shops sale, 'the more you spend, the more you save!!' :rotfl:
