Oh she's most definately not coming!!

We've also got our breakfast down from 37 adults and 9 children to 29 adults and 5 children.... Saved us a few quid... We'd of dropped it lower but everyone else has had their invite... Or they're a sibling...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Hi Krystaltips,

I'm sure the people that matter won't listen to her!

Enjoy your day, I'm sure she will be thinking about what you're doing more than you'll be thinking about her on the day!

I really don't understand what happens to people when a wedding is organised, everyone has to have their say and expects you to do things a certain way.

Have you got everything else organised? I'm a bit more organised now, just need to stop eating the polar bear ice cream so I can still get into my dress!! :rotfl:

Your MIL is a real ............. - please insert word of choice.

I think you had better ring everyone that you want to be there and tell them it's still on. Just say something like you're checking before the final bill is done or something.

I can't believe how nasty some people can be.

Chin up though - can you use your savings to post her one way somewhere :rotfl:

MILs.....mine lives 50 miles away, thank goodness. And we are paying for our own wedding, to avoid any hassle from anyone. And it will be fairly small, can't see the point in inviting people neither of us have seen for years.

Sorry to hear about your situation, I am sure you will have a wonderful day, despite her best efforts to cause maximum trouble. ;)

To me it would be worth maintaining the invite to MIL's 2 friends if you can in any way shape or form abide having them there. That's not me being soft, it's being mean. :rotfl:

But as MIL has had her refund, I wouldn't have her back at any price. Well, I would. And then I would thank her publicly for booking the place and for lending the deposit until the beginning of June. :rotfl:
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

FIL is the best man, they've been divorced a few years... He's glad she's not coming now, he was having trouble with his speech... Said the thought of having to thank her was sticking in his throat lol... He said he's going to write two speeches now... His best man speech and then a contingency one in case she turns up... I imagine that one would have a pg rating though!

It's amazing the difference between his mom and his dad, she's such a bitter, twisted spiteful old hag... and he's such a nice bloke, can't do enough for us! Guess which one lives 100 miles away... Not the right one... Damnit!

sorry to hear the unnecessary stress you've been going through, apart from saying the evening we got engaged that we would have to save as they won't help us with the costs (wasn't asking them, and we also didn't get a congratulations) she hasn't said much about the wedding. She did tell me she was making a speach and i told her in no uncertain terms she's not. Maybe it's me but if she makes a speach welcoming people to the wedding it implies she's helped out which she clearly hasn't, and it's not traditional and i can't be sure she won't swear her way through it.

i would certainly do this, if she has gone to the lows of telling your oh's siblings that it is cancelled she may well start telling others!!

i cannot believe what she has done, utter witch!!, but im glad that you arent letting it spoil your day. good luck

In all honesty, she's that horibble that his siblings are the only ones she still speaks too really... Her sisters and brothers have all lost touch, and they live quite a way away so although we've invited them we're not really expecting them to come... Just hoping they'll send gifts ;) His brother knows it's not off and we went up to see his sisters over the weekend in a damage limitation excersize (she's said some really nasty things about us!) But thankfully the girls know what she's like so they're still very much coming...

We're absolutely determined that she's not going to ruin this for us!
