But you seem to be the only one who is complaining at slow speed, they are many hundreds of visitors on here each day, and you seem to be the only one that has issues.

Its therefore logical that the issue may be with your system, either computer (host file) or perhaps a routing issue with your ISP

Who is your ISP so we can establish if someone else has same issue?
Precisely. I'm just suggesting there may well be an issue with the server not being big enough to cope with the demand?

Eh? What am I in denial about? It's NOT my PC. My PC is working fine, it is not running slow. On no other site I visit is the response times between clicks so slow.

The site can be quite slow IMO, but when you see the number of users online it's pretty impressive.

It's impressive for a site of this kind.

As I said earlier, for me the site has been quicker lately.

Occasionally I find the site slow, but that could just as equally be my ISP provider reducing bandwith.

For a 'free to use' site, I find the tone of the OP's demand a bit off and they are clearly in the minority.

If you are using Internet Explorer V7, try turning off the Phishing Filter on the bottom right hand side of the program window. I had this pointed out to me by one of my colleagues a couple of days ago and it immediately speeded up the response time of IE

BBC News were covering the variation in traffic speed across the UK - and there were huge differences ... it is not just your PC, nor this site that is involved, it may be the speed at which your connection operates. Would be pleased to hear from those more knowlegable just how important that aspect actually is.

And ... for those who are not techie (maybe should stress - non techies like me) the BBC site to check your connection speed and log information to improve the situation is here:
