Can you please clean up this site?
It has been unbelievably slow the last few days, and it's not my PC because every other site I visit is fine.
It's getting very frustrating.
Thanks.

NU, what time of day do you have problems? I am sure the administrators will have stats but it can sometimes be slow first thing in the mornings, lunch times, early evenings when there is a large volume of people lggoing on but otherwise the site has been working fine for me.
If you have not already done so you might want to try clearing out some of your own history, cookies etc.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
I have cleared up my PC fantastically in the last few days using AVG 8, CCleaner (formerly crap cleaner), cachecleaner and by deleting temporary files!
It now runs a treat!:cool:0 -
you on one of those cheap broadband services like ntl, talktalk, tiscali and what not? switch to BT
money saving is fine but it's easy to lose sight of the truth that it also might mean compromising on quality most of the time0 -
I repeat, every other site or forum I visit is not slow.
It is not my PC.
I would guess the volume of material on the MSE server is beginning to slow it down.0 -
Seems fine to me, perhaps its your ISP (routing issue)
If it was this site I am sure many others would have voiced there opinion by now0 -
I haven't noticed any undue slowness.
If anything MSE seems to be a bit quicker than it used to be. Especially on high demand days; e.g. when the email goes out.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

this is not every other or any site - this is visited by a couple of hundred thousand people as guests and members - so no comparison :cool2:
Precisely. I'm just suggesting there may well be an issue with the server not being big enough to cope with the demand?denial :cheesy:
Eh? What am I in denial about? It's NOT my PC. My PC is working fine, it is not running slow. On no other site I visit is the response times between clicks so slow.post less thenwe won't miss you
Charming. Particularly from somebody with 7,500 (often very long) posts.0
