carolfunkydiva - I 100% agree with you. I'm going to Vegas in 2 weeks and all the travel reviews say just bout every1 you meet should be tipped. Waiters, casino dealers, taxi drivers, the guys who open your taxi door at your hotel, the bellboy, cocktail waitresses, maid service, the geezer who gives you change.
I won't have any money left for myself after all that!!!
I save up all year to go on 1 holiday and all these people expect tipping. And its not even discresionary (bad spelling I know), they expect it. And the excuse they give is that they don't get paid alot!!!. Is that my fault??? Well I don't get paid alot either but I don't expect tips in my office job. Blame the billions dollar casinos not me. Surely they could afford to pay their staff better wages with the amount of cash they generate!
Now before a get called a cheap you know what. When I got out for a meal here I will usually give a 10% tip. But minimum 15%up to 25% just for somebody to carry your plates over to the table and write down your order. Jesus Christ.
Anyway rant now over.
well it all depends on culture, my sisters were visiting from USA last week and were surprised and unimpressed that we didn't tip the plate clearer in a carvery.
put it down to 'cultural differences':rotfl:

service IS awful, and there was no ice cream factory working at ours either, tho they did get bowls of ice cream for them and they could put the sweets on.
I think it is excellent value when using the half price. We went last week and had a large and med pizza, plate of potato wedges, garlic bread, a pasta with chicken breast and garlic sauce starter and an ice cream factory each for the kids. (And we had a few spoons also lol)
Came to £29 93. gave in the 50% off voucher and £15 leisure vouchers gained from pigsback, so didn't actually cost us a pany, and for 4 people, £15 is pretty good. Plus we had a piece of pizza each left so took them home and warmed em up for supper the next dayI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. we always tip £3 or £4 every time we went to Pizza Hut and they never run out! strange some of your pizza hut locals run out even it is busy! my pizza hut was very busy even there were a long queue to outside freeze cold weather in january! we arrived a bit earlier
then afterwhile a lot of people come in same time then the waiter asked their name and number of people, and time to come back.

I never tip anyone. I have never been tipped in any jobs I have had, and my hubby gets up at 4 30 am and travels 12 miles to work, whichever way he can (He can't drive) for 15K a year and noone ever tips him either. So sorry, I don't tip, I don't feel bad about not tipping and if anyone frowns at me or doesn't like it, TOUGH!I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. Snap. I have just ordered online using FOW0501XN and it worked. This couldn't have come at a better time as I am snowed in! Thanks to whoever posted the voucher code.0 -
Just input all my order, accepted code etc....total to pay £17.XX (after 50% off) and then site tells me 'having a problem with your order, please telephone...both on card payment or cash on collection)
Phoned store, arrogant Manager in Background very rude re code, and when I asked to speak to him directly, he said code is for Online use only, so not willing to take order, and grant discount.makinprogress0 -
