    this has been posted before.

Its a good deal and we used it last week, remember no drinks included or set meals :)
  • Thanks am new here and I'm bagging deals already!!! Have printed mine out now just need to talk the husband round;)
  • I went to pizza hut last night with my parents, brother, his wife and 2 of their kids and we spent about £43 altogether (we used the 50% off voucher they were handing out in december), we ordered 3 large pizzas but it turned out they were out of large deep pan bases so the 3 large pizzas were substituted to 6 medium pizzas! We were very impressed with that price and the substitution :j :rotfl:

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
We went to our local branch for dinner last night and used the 50% voucher. Had a starter and main each and 2 salad bowls and 3 drinks - 2 wines and 1 beer.

Whole bill was £21 something - they had forgotton to add my beer on - we told our server who thanked me for being honest said most would not of said anything. She came back and said it would be too complicated to alter the bill so not to pay the £2.99 for the beer - we just gave an extra £3 with our tip as had a lovely meal and did not want to risk the beer money coming out of anyones wages.

Our bill should of been £38 before food discount.

Id go again in Feb if there is another voucher deal.

  • We have just returned from our local pizza hut having used the 50% off voucher. However we were not impressed this time - they had run out of chicken, cucumber, several types of pasta, ice-cream and even 5p's!! The waitress was very apologetic and said that this had happened all through january due to high demand. We know it's not her fault but considering there is a tesco opposite why can they not restock in an emergency ?

But my main gripe is that the pizzas didn't seem up to their usual standard, the toppings were very sparse. We didn't know if it was because they'd run low on food or because they give holders of the vouchers sub-standard meals. Having 50% off you don't feel that you have a right to complain.

Think we may try another branch next time and see what the quality is like.
  • I was at pizza hut on saturday at fountainpark in Edinburgh and we had to wait half an hour to get a table and then they had no garlic bread, chicken wings, Bruschetta, hot cookie desert or Large Italian bases. I know it was really busy but you would think they would have made more food up and defrosted more garlic break!
  • Noone tips me at work!! I work in an office. Why are some people's jobs supposedly meant to be tipped? This goes back to years ago when staff like waitresses and hairdressers earned peanuts. These days everyone gets at least the minimum wage. Why should a waitress on £6 hour get tipped when a sales person on the same rate in a shop of office doesnt? They're all providing a service.
Sorry to sound mean and miserly but I just dont think it should be expected these days.
Also bear in mind if you do tip, that if its added onto the bill as a discretionary amount, its always better to ask for it to be removed and leave a tip on the table. When its added to the bill, its often the company that gets it, not the staff.

Unfortunately it seems some customers think that having a 50% discount voucher somehow entitles them to not leave a tip at all when given good service; shame on you.

    Enjoy your meals,
