Just about to switch lenders for the following:
£290K 4 bed detached, £160K mortgage (joint) / 5.77% 10 yr fix / £1162 PCM ( !!!) / 19 years remaining. Could have extended this to keep the payments down but the thought of the last 2 to 3 years payments having been for nothing is just awful to contemplate.:o

We pay £1500 per month which is an overpayment of £1000 per month. We are hoping that our mortgage will be repaid in less than three years. Last year we repaid £45,000 but a lot of this was as a result of some of our endowment policies maturing. Only one policy to go now for £28000. This matures in 2013 so hopefully our mortgage will be repaid long before that.

We have a 4 bed detached value approx £250k, we owe £85,000, our mortgage is £488 pcm (70% repayment, 30% endowment) but deal soon to expire but I'm hoping that we've lowered the amount enough for it to balance out. Endowments will mature long before mortgage expires so hope to pay more off early.

Mortgage around £70,000 split £25K and £45K with a solid high street building society called Nationwide. House value £250,000. 4 bed 2 bath, huge kitchen diner, medium sized garden for london standards, semi detached with 2 to 3 car offroad parking and a golf course and park/playing fields a few minutes walk away. Paying around £600 plus overpaying £400, Should be mortgage free in 6 to 7 years as we are going to increase the overpaying to its max (£500 & £500) per month next year. Without overpaying we would have another 16 years to go. All these figures from memory so not 100% but should give good indication.

Cannot say if prices are falling in my area as no one seems to be selling at all. No boards are up for sale or rent.

We want to move further out of London. Need a bigger place with a decent size Granny exe. Mom is getting on and needs to live with us. Kids have to stay with us as they cannot afford own place. Main house needs to be a 4 bed, 2 - 3 bathroom. With offroad parking for 4 cars. Good commuter links to central London. Nice garden, no more than £400,000. Anyone?

JUST REVISED THE FIGURE TO £400k because house prices are falling.....

How far out of London do you want to be? And which bit of central London are you aiming for? (Paddington, Charing X, etc)
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

3 Bed Semi £165k - £116k Mtg - 70.30% LTV at Base -0.31 = 4.69% £450 PCM I/O but I also overpay £70 pcm and make capital reductions of about £2k p.a (so overpaying £236 p/m) which puts me in position of a 23y 6m repayment mortgage. I also have an additional £30k at 0% on which I pay nothing until 2017, although I can pay it at anytime. Good times :)

That is until the deal ends of course :(

Trust an MA to have a complicated setup eh? LOL.
