Owe 140k on a (larger) 2BR terrace completed on last month. 5 year fix at 5.24%- payments are £785 a month over 30 years. Mortgage rates with current lender have shot to 7.19% over the past 2 months... so while prices have fallen by about 6k, mortgage rates have risen so it all comes out in the wash. Hopefully by the time our fix runs out everything will have settled.
  • 3 bed semi worth about £265000. Mortgage payment £251 with £15 per month endowment Only 3 more payments then its all ours. Woo hoo:T

£961 for my 2bed flat in Leamington Spa, £140k mortgage..

I intend to overpay like mad!

(I've just come off a 2-year fixed where I wasn't allowed to overpay, now on HSBC lifetime tracker with unlimited overpayment facility - I've gone down from 27 years with my previous lender to 20 now, so willing to pay more each month, and will overpay as and when... I've never been in 'debt', always paid credit cards in full each month, and inherently hate the idea of being in debt with a mortgage!)
  • My mortgage is £90,000 on a 2 bed detached bungalow in Cheshire, valued at £160,000. Just over 23 years remaining and my fixed rate of 4.99 expires in October and I'm worried already!

    Currently pay £540 per month.
