Irish passport

Hi,

If you were born and live in the North can you get an Irish passport? The Irish one is cheaper then the British one, esoesially for kids.

english passport anyone can get them.

apply via post office in Belfast..they look after it for you but be aware they are seriously OTT about the photographs you submit!

a quick email to the Irish passport office and they pop a form in the post for you-i got a nice email reply and the form arrived the next morning!!
i find the Irish form alot easier than the British one.......they even sorted out a few problems with my babys one over the phone instead of sending it back to us :T
Thumbs up for the Irish passport office-our whole family now hold 2 passports!!

Is the Irish passport definitely cheaper? I thought it was more expensive.

One of the few places in the world that you can legally hold 2 passports;)

The british ones are still a lot handier for going to the US of A however, fast tracked at customs;) and no visa requirements;)

It is "you're" (you are) Irish not your
and if you are born in Northern Ireland you can have either as you are deemed to be both Irish and British
Finally there is no such thing as an english passport - it is a United Kingdom (British) Passport
