Evening All........ we've had our offer accepted, survey/valuation done, mortgage agreed, now we have to go see the solicitor tomorrow with a cheque for our deposit and stamp duty!
Am I right in assuming that we will suggest a date for completion to our solicitor tomorrow, and that the completion date will be the same as the contract exchange date?
I'm so knackered with the whole thing, I've completely lost track of where the process takes us next!

As this is a moneysaving site I would just say have a look at the news today and think long and hard about where prices are going. If you've got a good deal and can afford not to move in the near future then hopefully it all works out!Keep the right company because life's a limited business.0 -

Thanks boinging - (Christian, or surname?) - I don't intend to move for at least 10 years, so I'm thinking that a lot should happen between now and then. It's just gotten to a stage where I'm 35 years old, been with my company for over 8 years, and am lucky enough to be earning very well at the moment.....if I don't do it now, then I never will! It could all go horribly, disastrously wrong - and if it does, then I'll deal with it the same way I've dealt with every other !!!!!! hand I got dealt in life! There's always plenty of people worse off.......0 -

What will happen? Your new home will lose 50% of it's value, you'll be in negative equity and you'll be absolutely gutted you didn't wait a few years and pick up something twice the size for the same price.0 -

I am getting sick of this. zammo please tell me how you will afford a house that has falen 50% in value. Will you get a mortgage. Most people waiting 2-3 years for a 50% savings, will get there fingers burnt.Debt free. March 2020
