Not seeing massive drops in my area Im hoping to live in. A couple have shaved a few k off. Most are standing firm. One was even put on two days ago for £114,995 and after todays news put it up to £119,995, The only logic I can see in that is they want £114,995 and are hoping someone offers that.
Also seeing a lot taking a hundred quid off asking and a fiver!"Instead of saying someone was avaricious I'd say they were bloody greedy"0 -

I love that term. Sounds like "I'm not budging and I know I'll win". Suggests buyers are 7 year olds who need to be educated.
In reality it like standing there with your fingers in your ears going:
lalalalalalalalala I'm not listening I'm not listening lalalalalalala prices only ever go up lalalalalalala spring bounce spring bounce lalalalalalalala
as a tidal wave sweeps in behind you.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -

Once I'd installed the very latest version, I went through and it made a lot of difference.I have installed 1.0.4.3 but there is no difference to the results. I'm sure that was my version anyway.

Its true I hear it in work everyday "not my house" and "mines worth £xxx, xxx"
A colleague of mine has had her house up for sale for two years at £299,995, ok its in a lovely area and shes done loads to it, but She wants to buy a mobile home and travel round france with the proceeds of the sale.
I asked how much she paid for it and it was 100K 8 years ago, I said why dont you drop under the £250k mark to make it more attractive to buyers (stamp duty etc) and you come out still with a healthy profit, she said no every valuation she had came at over £300k so its worth that.
Im afraid she will be going to france on a couple of weeks holiday only, for the forseeible future, merci!"Instead of saying someone was avaricious I'd say they were bloody greedy"0 -
I've seen an increase of new e-mails from yourmove etc, nothing to note really other than the EA's under pressure and are stepping up the spam!Statistics are like a lampost to a drunken man...more for leaning on than for illumination

A house, like anything else, is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay you for it. It could be £299,999. It could be £249.999. It could be 12 chickens and a cow. Value is only defined at transaction.
I have a coffee cup which I wouldn't sell for less than £50,000. Therefor it is worth £50,000... :rotfl:Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -

Family heirlooms may be priceless. The owner will never sell them.
Of course the man on antiques roadshow will tell them what they are worth...
"This vase is worth 100 trillion pounds as you'de never sell it for less"
