The good thing about the Tesco Internet Saver is that they use faster payments which is why I chose them! :beer:Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] Aug 2012

Slow to set up though - I sent my signature verification form back 10 days ago and still have not got a reply so I can log onto the Tesco Finance Website. Been four weeks since initial application so far.:mad:Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -
BOS have just launched a new bonus saver:
http://www.bankofscotlandhalifax.co.uk/savings/BOSinstantaccesssavingsaccountreward.asp
As the BOS web site says the IASA can be the nominated account this can get you 6.5% in the nominated account to get you 12% on the RS instead of 6.25% with halifax Gaurenteed Saver..
Anyone kicking themselves for opening this account early??:rotfl:0 -

It's been a week so far and I just the letter today to say my welcome pack would be in the post now. Will I then have to send back my signature verification before the account is officially opened?Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... They open the account and give you the account number and sort-code.
You then have to register with the website - this triggers the signature letter which you have to print, sign, and return. They then send you the final code to access the website - this is the bit I'm waiting for.Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -

Nope - much happier to have it open at 12% since June than get crushed in the last minute rush.:j
Oh, and an extra 0.25% on 5K is only a tenner after tax over the year anyway.Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -

I assume that with the account number and sort code I will be able to transfer the money over? My priority will be to get the money into the account asap so it can start paying interest!Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... Yes you should be able to transfer in to Tesco. My worry is that it will be my feeder account and I want to be able to get some of it out again by next month.Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -

They don't make it easy for us. It takes them 2 working days to pay nationwide by standing order, you would hope that internal should be quicker but to be safe i have made the date the 16th to be certain. (20th is a sunday) Does that sound ok?
Re: the G.Saver Reward account: "Interest rates will track Bank of England base rate until 16 July 2008. After 16 July 2008, provided you keep at least £2,500 in your account, the interest rate is guaranteed to be no lower than 0.50% below the Bank of England base rate until at least 1 January 2013.
So it may drop to 4.5% and because they know they have a lot of reg savers linked to it people won't close it. Just a thought thats all, be careful they might be crafty and drop the rate, or more likely the base rate will rise and they won't move.
The G.Saver Reward account at 6.25% is fixed for a year, it's the G.Saver account that may drop after 16th July. It's after 12 months that the G.Saver variable interest rates will then apply.0 -

Well thanks for the info as for that reason I might not transfer next months 'payment' and just leave that in my high interest current account at Halifax... just in case!Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] Aug 2012
