Are There Still any FTB's out there??

My house has been on the market for just over a week now (not long I know).
We have had plenty of viewings, but not 1 single first time buyer! Are there any still out there buying at the moment?
We are priced just under the stamp duty level £125,000.
How are other sellers getting on?

no... 1st time buyers got pushed out of the market a long time ago.0

if there are they should be sitting and waiting for the right moment - which is not now!0

btw how much did you purchase your house for OP?0

Yea that's what I thought!
Most of the viewings we have had are from people downsizing!0 -
Yes the first time buyers are "out there", but we are waiting with big deposits and waiting for your house to be worth 50% less than it is now :-)0

And as a FTBer i wouldnt dream of buying a house until my monthly mortgage repayments were below 400-500 pound a month. Something they are not at the moment. As interest rates are pushed up so do the monthly rates.
I'm guessing i'll be waiting a good 2 years from now... not going to put my life on hold.. getting married and thinking about kids etc.. but i wont be buying a house just for that reason... not an onverpriced one.
Your house is prob worth 70-80k post crash maybe less.

The only people I've seen buying are landlords.0

I hope it doesn't crash to 50% less as I brought it for £97,000 4 years ago and would be in real trouble!
I wish I had brought just a couple of years earlier when they were about £60,000!
I would be prepared to reduce my price, but the problem is that the houses I am looking at buying will not reduce theirs - therefore we are stuck!0
