Confused...
Hiya,
Just seen this tariff (http://www.buymobilephones.net/store/fulldetails-9893.ihtml) and don't understand it as it seems to be offering:
- A free phone
- Free 12 months line rental (the contract length is 12 months) which otherwise would be £25 a month (offering 100 mins and 100 texts)
- Free double minutes and messaging (ie: 200 mins and 200 texts) for 3 months
I'm new to this mobile thing so it seems to me that if I keep within the minutes and texts offers (ie: less than 200 mins and 200 texts for the 1st 3 months, less than 100 mins and 100 texts for the last 9 months) then I won't hav e to pay anything...or am I mad? I'd v. much appreciate some advice

You are not mad - there are a lot of these deals around - I have used them for the last 3 years. They are usually by cashback - yopu have to send in a bill or bills at certain points in the contract life. You must stick to the terms or they will not pay. Also if you choose a dodgy company that goes bust you will not get your money back - so I recommend you choose a larger company such as the carphone warehouse, dialaphone, onestopphoneshop group to be a bit safer.

Deals like this are usually via cashback.
So you would pay the £25 each month but at month 4 you might get something like £100 back either on your account or by cheque, then month 7 £100 again then month 11 £100, bringing the total of the contract to £300 which as they have given you the cheques back, the contract has worked out free.
If you are happy to pay the money each month and remember to send back your bills (thats how you claim the money back), then the deals are good, but some people forget to send the bills in and they miss out on the cashback, so the network is getting paid as normal and giving nothing back.

When I get the contract, I put a reminder in my outlook calendar for each time that I need to ask for cashback. This is also synch'd with my phone so I get 2 reminders. To infinity and beyond!0

i saw this deal too, but think i will go for the boots deal instead, 200x network and 200 texts per month with boots points (not cashback) there are some deals that make you £84 better off, with O2 as the provider too.
will find the tread and post back.Ready to Go Go!0 -
