Thanks for the welcome all. Puerto de Mazarron is in Murcia about 20 miles down the coast from Cartagena. its lovely. I work in Redcar quite a bit, but its getting quite run down now, which is a terrible shame.

Louise - Our holiday home is not that far from you on the Orihuela Costa. We do the run down the coast sometimes, and do it on the coast road not the motorway. Had a nice lunch there one trip. Just over 4 weeks from now we will be there!

Donny you lucky soul! I am jealous. Though I live in Scarborough and that's beautiful too - I rent a beach hut and sit there with my blanket round my knees, shouting at the kids to be grateful they dont live in Walsall :D We will be there 8 weeks from now too. Can't wait. I love the coast road too as you go through Cartagena dont you and over the mountains. Its beautiful.

    DIESEL.

Filled up in Luxembourg Friday 21st May - price €1.00 per litre

Travelling on the motorway to the South of France on Saturday 22nd May prices between €1.28 and €1.32

Filled up in Les Issambres (83) - €1.12

    What price where you are?
I have now been past a petrol station! Price was 1.15€ a litre at our cheapest local source.

ETA: 1€ a litre was the price of PETROL when we came here nearly eight years ago. Diesel was then around 0,75€, I suppose.

There seem to be a lot of us from a very small area in England. I live in Whitby. My husband was brought up in Redcar and I regularly shop there when in England. Am enjoying the better weather in North Cyprus for long periods of time now, but due back on June 24th.

I think I'm the 'foreigner' in the UK. I'm from the West Midlands.
