    Hello everyone

Count me in for this one - I need to save £2000 in 6 weeks for a deposit on my new rented house - just discovered from solicitor i'm not able to use deposit from buyer on exchange of contracts - how unfair is that??

So every little helps. (and ebay);)

    Good luck everyone!!

I NEED this challenge - I'll update daily.

So far this month the amount of sheer irrelevance I have bought is ridiculous. This will, I hope, keep me up to the mark.

I'm in! My downfall is co-op shop 10 doors away. SOoooo easy to pop in for snacks, mags, wine etc! I need a few NS days.

Most of my social interaction is at the corner shop - otherwise my conversation is limited to little bear (who can at least say 'mama') and the cat. And the cat swears - honestly, anyone who has heard her will agree she has a foul mouth.

I have just realised that I am going to visit relatives on Sunday. They will have so many gifts for me, OH and so, so many for little bear (he's the only great nephew to my uncle, only nephew to my two brothers, only grandchild to my father - he doesn't go without toys! On OH's side he is the only nephew to my sister in law, only cousin to her only child, they love shopping...)

So, I will feel awful that I will be turning up without goodies for them when they will have loads for me. I may well buy some unusual fruit & veg for them - uncle is diabetic, doesn't drink in the house and does NOT need another thing to dust because his home is overflowing. While my brother is healthy, he does not drink a lot and also does not need another thing to dust.

And I need to think of a birthday present for little bear to get my uncle.

Do these gifts really count as necessary? Hmm. My family are so good to me and bear, they spoil OH and don't ask that a lot is spent on them, so taking fruit, veg and perhaps socks is not a bad thing. They also understand that I want to cut down my spending, so are not asking a lot from me. In fact, if I turned up with nothing they would be fine, but I would feel awful. They are going to be doing a barbecue for us as well.

It will be the first day of June and I will be spending! Sigh. I'll set a budget and stick to it, and just go mad on the fruit and veg stalls. They will appreciate that.

Count me in. Fairly new on here and don't think I have ever had a NSD. Going to aim for a few this month. Fingers crossed.
