I'll join in too - I'd already decided to do this anyway, so it will be good to join in with others as well! :T

Hello, can I join in please? I've no big events in June (unless I've forgotten something),so it will be a good challenge for me to put some money in my rainy day fund.

Are there any specific rules,or do we make our own up as we go along?

Can I join please, hopefully it will stop me spending money on food during the day
  • Hi

I'd like to join too because I thought I had my budget under control until I kept a spending diary for a month - I spent over £20 on magazines last month and would you believe it over £200 on takeaways, nights out, meals out, and some random pointless stuff I'm sure I didn't need and def didn't help my diet. I don't want to spend any money other than petrol, groceries and a small present for my friend's 30th. I have a wedding to pay for in Sept and I have no spending money for my honeymoon so this would go a long way towards it.

    Hi There :hello:

I would love to join in to. I have a new user name (I think I got rumbled on the old one), so a new challege would be good to. I don't tend to spend a lot on unnessasary things too much, but do occasionally slip.

Oh blimey I just noticed I have lost me two stars

Yep this ones for me! Its going to be really tight for me this month so will not want to be spending money on rubbish ie food at work!!!

What are we going to do, write everything naughty on this thread?

From what I remember last year, we just updated daily on whether we'd had a NSD or not... and if not, what we'd bought that wasn't budgeted for. I'm yet to work out my June budget but I don't intend to spend money on anything that isn't necessary!

Nope - only that you can only spend what you've budgeted for, so if a birthday in June, budget how much you'll spend on a present etc, but then for the rest of the month nothing unnecessary ie mags/hot chocs etc... it was fun last time!!

Right, I would love to join you all for June, if that is ok. I did however start today, when an ebay item of lovely handmade beads ended while I was dishing up dinner so I couldn't put in a last minute bid:rotfl: .

Did I need the lovely hand made sparkely beads? NO.
Did I want the lovely hand made sparkely beads? Yes.

Do you think I had another LBM?:o

I will try over the next month to use the need/want equation more:A .
