Just to say Lidl's wraps are lovely, last time I bought them they were only 69p for 6. Obviously if you can get them on whoopsie elsewhere then they might be cheaper though. hth. I often forget how much I love wraps.

Hi Orkney, these were on offer at our nearest Lidls about a month or two ago 49p I think they were. The next week they went back up to their normal price, so didn`t bother after that, but may try Lidls again and see if they`re back on special.

Went to Mr S today to stock up on baby wipes. They have their half price baby event on at the mo. Got 4x4 packets of Johnsons baby wipes for £2.45 each. So now I have 16 packets which works out at about 64p each. Also got 100 nappy sacks for 14p. Event runs until next Tuesday I think.

Also got rolls - breadmaker is still in the loft - I will get it out one day. Refused to pay their price for veg, so went to the local farm shop and got carrots, white cabbage and mushrooms. Might attempt some home made coleslaw soon.
    February Grocery Challenge £300

    Spent so far £55

Does anyone know: Is it socially acceptable to store an open tin of catfood with a cover on it in the fridge or is that just gross?:o

    SR

I have done this in the past, although I now just store any half tins in the back porch as its generally only for 1 day or so and not that warm there.
I would maybe put a lid and a bag over it just in case there are any whiffs!

Sounds like a good deal, we don't have MrS though. I use reusable wipes at least 50% of the time now, and you can just use water/olive oil/drop baby shampoo mix to wipe with, or even just water. The wipes were 80p odd each and they have been used numerous times (was not doing too well but made a point to use them as much as practically can now). They just go in the wash with the nappies so no more hassle really. I tend to buy Boots wipes BOGOF or Lidl ones for my supply of disposable ones. Have also used Asda ones and they were ok too.

    Hi guys,

Well today is a planned nsd and to help things along I have been in the kitchen cooking. I cleaned out the fridge and split half the veg in the slow cooker with some left over bacon and sausages and the other half I made soup from. I am feeling virtuous as done some jellies, a low fat pudding and chopped up a load of fruit about to turn into a fruit salad.:A

So no waster this week! corr I am ashamed to tell you all the amount I usually throw out. Am I the only one?

Suzi Q - think its already been said but in case it hasnt the curry sauce is in a jar, and is usually kept along side the pasta sauces. Hope this helps.:money:

Hi I'm new to this board but am determined to spend less on groceries as I have severely been overspending on food since christmas, I reckon we throw away around 1/3. I do enjoy cooking though and work from home so am willing to give it my best shot :A .

I am going a a cheap Sun holiday to Skegness at the end of the month when I will be trying to feed 6 adults within my budget, but have decided it's going to be better to plan for this than just overspend and worry about it later.

I normlly spend £70-£80 a week on food (there's only two of us) so I know that's WAY TO MUCH  .

Can you put me down for £200 please

Mandy_Moo_1 how do you make this yogurt cake? I always have loads of yogurts in the fridge and would love to use them up
