Morning!
It looks like its going to be a gorgeous day, might sneak half hour in garden in between tackling my midden of a house - as we would say round here it's minging! Was going to be a NSD as DD is off with a steamer of a cold - yuch hope I don't get it!!! I need to nip and get some nat yoghurt as I'm making a left-over chicken curry tonight and thought I'd posh it up with some homemade naans (Ta very much Mrs MAC just found your recipe- yum). I'm still within target - what you say 2 months in a row - NEVER!! Yup so far so good. I'm also going to make some twinks hobnobs and some caramel shortbread as I've also got a tin of condensed milk rolling round my cupboard (I think Mr T had it in 2 for a while ago and I made a banofee pie with the other one (got recipe from nestle web site). Anyway dust-is-a-calling. Hope everyone is doing ok and good luck for the rest of the month.LBM 17th April 2007:j

Have you tried the key lime pie from the Nestle website? It is divine! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
just popped into try and catch up on all the posts....can't believe how many there are!!
got an NSD today, with any luck  just got back from my gran's after doing her h/work, changing her bed etc, so the washer's on. should dry in no time, cos its lovely today
then as soon as its hung out, i have to go and see my grans sister. she's 82 and wants me to cut all the bushes back in the garden....not looking forward to doing that in this heat, mind
then this aft i have to take Missy, my border collie X to the PDSA. over the last couple of weeks i've noticed one of her eyes is looking a bit milky, and i'm praying its not the start of a cataractat least cos i'm on benefits, i can just make a donation to them, and i won't be faced with a massive vet bill. She was a rescue dog, and i'm not sure how old she is...maybe 4 or 5 now, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for her that she's not gonna have anything wrong
by then the day'll be practically over, so no baking for me today....its too hot to be in the kitchen anyway, especially with the oven on. So i've got some spag bols out of the freezer for tea, cos they'll be quick and easy to do
hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine, i'm off to hang the washing out, and check if the veggies need any water xx0 -
Hello! I'm back:j
Been away for the past week in the US with work but I'm back and raring to go again.
Did a mini shop on the weekend for the fresh stuff (and one or two whoopsies) totalling £12.82 - that should last me through to the weekend, have plenty of "meals" and hopefully enough bits and pieces.
Just noticed that there's over 70 pages now - I think I'll just go back 10 pages and start from there!
Off to update the sig,
Have a lovely day......0 -
Just doing my first update of the month. Done some bulk shopping, which is why things look high, but I'm not worried.
Had a stroke of luck in the Co-op this morning - a great stack of bread all sitting there on the reduced trolley at 25p a loaf :j Good job my freezer [strike]is[/strike] was almost empty
So, end of week one (plus half a day) and I've spent £170.01 out of a budget of £315.
I have about £20 to put through the till at Sainsburys this afternoon, and then I should only need milk and fruit the rest of the week, so hopefully only £10-ish there, leaving me over £100 for the last fortnight.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

Good Morning everyone:hello: not posted much, but a NSD yesterday and hoping for one today
. Need to do a few of these this month as my budget`s gone mad this month. This is down to me doing 1 big monthly shop and topping up daily, but sadly
this hasn`t worked out for me. So next month I will go back to doing just weekly/ daily shops and no big monthly shop.
Anyway this thread has gone mad, so congratulations and big hugs who ever needs these.
Might try the `shephardless` pie that MrsM has postedmany thanks MrsM for that. But I do have a tiny portion size of raw mince in the freezer and soup broth, so may use these in the pie.
Right off to do another load of washing(3rd) and a bit of cleaning before spending a bit of time in the garden.Grocery Challenge 2013: July week 1 £90/£87.41
