ohh youre all energetic!! The most energetic I have been today is bringing arm to mouth to sip gin in anticipation of "THE FINAL!"...must do some selling as spent too much this month & it will take me time to catch up! Wasnt it you bob who said they would resort to the oldest profession in the word?!! Good luck with the job "interviews" - exhausting!

  • Oo great another one for walkies. I am sounding a bit like a dog trainer now..

I have a little confession to make...no i am not in the oldest profession, but there are fringe benefits!*cough*

I fluffed up with one of my items on ebay. I had underestimated postage and packaging, but sent it anyway, as felt obliged. Anyway the lovely young woman who bought it e mailed me today, shocked that i had sent it and offered me an extra £5. Now i only underestimated by about 60p, so i told her that it was ok as i am on a learning curve. she said my item was of an excellent quality and she was so chuffed she was sending it anyway...There are some lovely folk out there, and i hope that all my dealings with fleabay are all like that. I wish i could have left her triple feedback, as she wasn't obliged and i try not to do anyone with p+p.
Enjoyed the final of the apprentice, am going to be miserable now on a wednesday, no martin and no apprentice...

What is a girl supposed to do. I will have to be a bit more obsessive about the turnips. talking of which my strawberries have come out and now am the proud owner of three...correction was the proud owner of three.!!!!

Morning Bob....what a lovely lady on e-bay..well done to her!!!!...bet your strawberries were lovely...nothing like home grown food.
I agree with you telly has gone really boring but not only on a wednesday.Hope you have a good day x
  • Thanks taxi, strawberries were lovely. I have spotted a few more as well. mmm

Have planted out, broad beans, courgettes and lettuce today hopefully will soon grow in this weather. Also planted out my hanging basket, should have been two, but one lot didn't take, so may well buy sme cheapo plants as one looks lopsided.

On fleabay front haven't listed anything today, i was a bit miffed that when i drew down my money from paypal, they charged me 25p and will take about 6 days to go in my account..not very happy. Also the woman who won my last item, has wanted to pay by postal order, so i said ok, as i saw she had a good rating, and it has still not arrived!! hmmm, what to do. she e mailed me this morning, saying has sent it and to let her know when it arrives. I could have gone for second chance offer, so i will give it until tomorrow..if no joy then i will relist..bum.
Otherwise, it is a quiet day today. I haven't sold anything else on Amazon, and probably won't now as i have been undercut. so will do another carboot at weekend, as have loads of stuff left.
Feel like lobbing a turnip, or kicking a Baldrick today...must be one of those days.
    Hope everyone else is well.

Ahh the downfalls of eBay - yep slightly annoying that about Paypal, but sometimes it's worth it rather than waiting till you have enough to transfer out for free. When did person send the postal order out?

In turnip lobbing mood here too - but I think that's hormonal :o

I didn't even know there was a limit that they would transfer out for free!!At least with amazon, they tell you ...give you a list of fees etc. so you know where you are.
she hasnt replied as to when she has sent out postal order yet! have just checked e mails..talking of which, i have sold another Amazon order Only make about 2.50 after postage and their fees, but it will all add up by the end of the month.

Maybe we should all have a turnip lobbing competition?
