Am I right in thinking you're in separate beds because of Mr B's snoring? If it's causing problems between you then he really needs to sort it out.
That's annoying about the school, I can't believe how little effort they'd go to if they want staff!
His snoring is a lot of it and he is a twitcher as well..i am used to sleeping elsewhere but i feel like i don't have a sanctuary as it were..if that makes sense. He does get very tired from work, and basically does nowt but sleep from 8pm onwards. He went to GP yesterday and is chasing up referral..but i also feel like i am in the habit now..and quite frankly am really peed off about his laidback attitude..he sees debt as something every one has and that it is a way of life. (insert mad smiley here) I think that there are times when you need things but it is not a way of life. So therin lies the problem..he also has the same attitude to personal life as in he does all he can ..end of story.
I also think the same of the school but it would give me a bit of security..even if it is three days and any supply would be extra. Plus i can sleep at my mates house nearby..at least i would get a bed!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hmm, I know what you mean about the sanctuary, not quite the same but I had a studio flat for a year or so and it felt like I had no bedroom to escape to and relax.
From what you say, it could well be worth applying for the job then.. from the sleeping point of view it might do you a lot of good to get a bed and a bit of space for a few nights.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I agree with Redsqirrel...I really feel for you. It's so important to have sanctuary.I really don't know the answers. Is the school quite a long way away then? but you don't sound like you'd like that job though....think maybe going away for a few nights would be the best starting point.0

The school is in lancaster but very easy to get to as it is 35mins door to door.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

my OH id kind of the same with regards to our/his debt...he never listens to the advice I give him.It gets really wearying sometimes and then i end up spending to cheer my self up *roll eyes*
With regards to the sleeping..he should be doing something about it....but as we know men are pretty slow in these regards...

Hey Bob, sorry things aren't great at the moment. Mr Bob needs a couple of nights on the sofa bed? Is there any where in the house that you could make a santuary? or does that sound lame.
It must be difficult to persuade other halves to get on the debt free wagon. I find it tough enough with just me but if you have some one spending with relatively wild abandon GRRRRrrr!
many hugs and virtual turkish delights xxxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Hi Beanie, i got mine from Comet but folk on the techie board are reccomending staples and i think there is cashback via quidco, and face to face you can bargain as well!
Thanks for the messages of support, sorry for whinging! The problem with Mr.B is he is an early bird re bed and often scuttles off upstairs at about 9pm!
I would love to set up my own sanctuary somewhere buffy, but until the kids have left home there is little chance of that unless i leave and find somewhere else which is a possibility because i have had enough.
He is on the debt free wagon if i do all the work, and he does nothing else except work..no budgetting, no pre agreed spends..he does tell me after the fact, no switching of stuff and he generally pays late so incurs a charge..
We have been together 24 years in total and he hasn't changed one jot! He Was in debt when i met him and no doubt will be in debt when he dies..
any way i am going to get off before i really sound like an embittered old bag..i know i am already three quarters of the way there already!
Insert pained smiley!
So i am going to chill for the rest of the day ..hope you all have a good one!
