Yep, thirded by me - they're lucky to have you, Bob - not just how you are with them, but how you are *about* them - think of what you were saying just yesterday about needing a good quality car for DS in case of medical emergencies, as well as the intensity of the last few days.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

*sniff* thanks a lot, you lovely bunch. :T It is wonderful how close everyone becomes on here, i feel like i have an extended family..just having someone asking after you, when everything is in a whirl means the world...if that makes sense!
Miggy- i know what you mean about the trip to Truro, heck of a journey this time of year ( tourists clogging the road) It is a real shame one of the cottage hospitals can't do the treatment for her..and what a wonderful bunch of ladies in the WI down there.:T I think it is a brill organisation..we used to be Rotarians, but gave it up sadly when all the demands of family life kept intruding. You soundlike a lovely SIL to have as well, we dont always get on with relatives wives and hubbies, but it is great when you have family who do care..I expect she appreciates all that you do for her.:D
When will you know about your son's decision..clearing going on at the moment so should know soon eh? fingers crossed for you .x
Hi KC and Squizz, lovely comments from you both..you know sometimes i don't realise how much i have said about things i do until they are shown back to me..I just do them IFYKWIM...and i wanted to say thanks, makes me realise struggling with the car and advice on teens all worth it. Thanks again..all your advice is appreciated. :T

Well folks have had a busy day today.
Amazing the lengths we will go to in order to save a few pennies.
I can report that Mr.Bob has been busy DIYing, with DS he has fixed the shed roof and has been frequenting local DIY shops to get best deal on roofing felt!
I was on my hands and knees fixing leaking plumbing! As some of you may remember we had a new floor laid after washing machine leaked. Well as it was done on the insurance, a joiner sorted the sink out. He only went and put back all the plumbing that came with sink before! And guess what? Yep it leaked...So off i trotted to get new pieces for sink, an angle joint(90 degrees.) a new T joint and some more seals. When i pulled it to pieces, no wonder it bloomin leaked as the pipes were all wrong lengths and didn't flow correctly. So an hour and a half later, touch wood..no leaks! It would have been sooner, but couldnt get into shed for right tools for cutting pipe, and had to make do..still it is now done!:D
so there you go, if you put your mind to it things can be done, just amazed Mr.B did some stuff as well...we will make a DFW out of him yet!:T
Oh and i checked on my spuds..and i am sure someone has nicked a couple of plants as they are depleted..go figure huh!
B&Q were selling tom plants and peppers, for a extortionate price, honestly must think we are all mugs! It was cheaper to pay top wack in sainsbury's! I will be growing my own as per tips from Mrs.Macawber!;)Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Just a quick one for Olive, i am now sat drinking a bit of Mr.B's real ale....called 'old BOB'..i think he is being sarky, but it got me thinking. When we were in Cornwall we bought a Cornish ale chutney, so now i am going to make Old Bob's chutney........yum:rotfl: :rotfl:
Oh and i have had some Bertie beans with tea..double yum!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
