Sounds like a plan to me, Bob - it seems to make such a difference when a big chunk gets paid off - just been reading about hypno and the £300 less on minimum payments she has to find - how that can go on overpayments now, or give them some stretch room. Brilliant. And congratulations to DD! I'm pleased for you and her that she's buzzing again.

Cheers KC, i have read that myself...i remember last year when we cleared some things off what a difference it made..i know it will make a huge difference to my personal budget ( been a bit tight with not working over summer)
I like the idea of a bit of stretch room, as DD will want to go on her trips..so long as she hsa her medical stuff with her she will be fine. I think her med woman(college appointed ) is probably hoping to go on trip as well..lucky so and so:rotfl: :rotfl:

It is Miggy, she is over the moon and i feel like the black cloud has lifted a bit for them both in all honesty. I forget how worrying it can be at that age, especially when i get wrapped up in my own stuff (mainly on here:rolleyes: )

Ooh Bob you ALWAYS come across as an absolutely fab Mum, They have to make such hard decisions at such a young age don't they. My ds, who dropped out of Uni after two years, is looking into going back to finish the course :j so fingers crossed .

  • That is a lovely comment thanks. xxxxx

My friends daughter dropped out of uni last year, and didnt take her 2nd year exams. I think she is beginning to realise it was a bit of a mistake, but was probably right for her at the time. I do hope your son will go back and finish! How is your SIL?

My sil is 'bearing up' as they say. She had her 2nd dose of chemo on Tues and will be going once a week for some time, followed by FIVE weeks of daily radiotherapy. As you know it's a good 40mins to Truro from where they live so having to go there and back when not feeling too good is an ordeal in itself. She belongs to local WI and they are organising a rota to take her when she has to go every day, what a lovely lot. Thanks for asking, it means a lot you luvverly friend. XX
