Yeah I have just been reading up on e-cheque payments and if you can cancel them and apparently you can't. You can get the people who you send the money to refund the payment so basically once the payment has gone through to their account it will automatically be sent back to me, but the thing is, the payment won't get to their account in the first place because my bank will decline it...
I have read somewhere though that if you cancel a direct debit on your account to PayPal this will automatically cancel the e-cheque, so basically I will probably have to contact my bank, is that correct?0 -

Dont know if anyone else agrees, but I would say cancel the direct debit ONLY if you have too as youll get charged by Paypal.
You really need to ring Paypal or go in to your branch and explain the problem, they might have some adviceDELETE ACCOUNT.

Yeah but then if I end up letting the payment go ahead, the e-cheque won't go through and then I'll be charged by the bank and by PayPal apparently...0

What is the minimum age to have a Paypal account?
The Paypal site states 18!
So not only is this young man having problems with e-cheques he also must have lied about his age in order to open the account.0 -

I don't actually recall PayPal saying you have to be 18 to open an account with them though? I'm not a troll, I'm actually having this problem.0

No.
An overdraft is lending money which requires a contract. Contracts cannot be given to under 18s.
That and you can't take legal action against an under 18, which makes collecting the debt a fair bit harder.
The OP is an idiot, IMO. Don't spend what you're not allowed to. I'm not usually one for just calling people names or intemperate language, but jesus, if you don't have enough money and you're not 100% sure you have an overdraft facility DON'T MAKE THE PAYMENT!0
