Help Broadband wanted was considering tiscali but...

Hi i have always had broadband through a cable service. However moving into a new build obviously dont have the cables in place.

I have set up my BT line for instalation on tuesday 125 quid to flick a button not impressed.

So who on earth do i go with?

My internet usage is mainly online gaming via xbox 360 and streaming of football matches and BBC iplayer.

Tiscali seemed good for me the 14.99 offer unlimted usage but everyone seems to complain about the speed?

So help required please.

Many thanks

Stuart

for online gaming tiscali i would not touch

go here and put your postcode in find out what suppliers are on your exchange

    http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php

also find out how far you are from the exchange that will affect what speed you can get

for gaming i would recommend BE / O2 they seem best about just now

Someone has to pay for the wiring from the exchange to your house.;)

They do however have this £29.99p connection offer, and it would possibly be worth your while trying to get it.

Don't know why you think that the installation fee is just 'to flick a switch' what about your line to the exchange and your equipment in the exchange that give you access to the network and the rest of the world? Why didn't you take advantage of the £30 installation offer here?

    Tiscali best avoided.

if bt are saying you can get 6.5 then with a better isp you could prob double that cheaper

try this site put your phone number in they will tell you if they are on your exchange

Try entering village/town name, phone number or exchange name.
