Business cards - Vista Print: a false economy?

Starting up a business, I needed some cards quickly and cheaply!
Enticed by offers from Vista Print, I found, customised and ordered 250 business cards for about £24. (Also paid for the non-advert version.) They arrived 11 days later...
You pays your money, you makes your choice...
Comments:
The card is rather flimsy, not the thickness of a normal, even basic card.
The print quality is good - clean and sharp. I had opted for a glossy finish which is just as well... I'm not sure that non-glossy would have cut it! (i.e., the blank back is dull and cheap looking!)
However, the big disappointment is that the size they come in is not a standard UK size being slightly wider but 5mm shorter than a typical UK card. This will look and feel out of place amongst other cards.
Of course, I should have known this or spotted this (the info is there) but then you would expect that business cars are a standard size!
Anyway, had I known this at the outset I might have gone with a different company (I'd looked at Good Print).
They will do (for now) but I will be slightly embarrassed even apologetic giving them out! A false ecomony...

Hi guys
Just thought I'd tell you of a company that does cheap yet very good quality business cards. They are currently offering 5,000 full colour business card sized flyers for £50 (this price includes Vat and delivery so no hidden extras) I used them to print some passes for an event I organise and was very impressed and will be using them again in the future. If your interested their website is https://www.whitesparkpromotions.com
I am not affiliated nor am I employed by the company mentioned above.0 -

vista print,
mmm, sure there is many a thread on here regarding them!
Not to worry, why not try some fantastic pvc business cards?
not allowed to advertise on here, ** No advertising/touting for business even via PM please- Edited by Abuse Controller **
Great thing about them is the durability, means you could get repeat business as your card gets passed on rather than being thrown away
Regards

Just an update...
Having checked my cards against the 'customised' online design I did, I noticed that somehow a text box had moved between me signing off and printing, i.e., they have not accurately reproduced the design (their mistake not mine). The business name being affected, and not looking quite right!
I have e-mailed them with some feedback - getting on for a week now without response...0 -
I have bought the "free" cards from Vistaprint (you just pay p&p) several times and think they're fine. Even if you're going for the more expensive ones, go through a cashback site and that will help with the cost. There are several threads around on Vistaprint, including this one.0
