what jobs pay l/m/n i wonder...........;)
I'm in band L - I work as a lawyer.
To be honest I don't see why people keep their earnings secret; it's just a number. When I was a student I happily told people I was poor and now I'm working I don't mind telling people my salary.
One thing is sure though; people within companies not telling each other their salaries allows companies to get away with paying some people a lot less than they deserve. Where I work, most people are on a published grid so there's much less angst.0 -

They won't be advertised in the local paperor the job centre :rotfl:
More likely to be advertised in a magazine relative to the profession or through agencies that specialise in hiring for a specific profession. Or the Telegraph, today and the Sunday Times.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -

Have previously lots of dosh making sites, but it's time consuming and now a bit boring
I actually put a site together to answer this (can't link from here though). It started off as a list so I could keep on top of the things I was doing/trying and the things that I thought were worthy of further investigation. Then my mates wanted access to it... and now it's quite large!
But the bottom line is: any site can make money. Any idea can make money. The key is to keep doing it! Like you say "it's time consuming and now a bit boring". It certainly is, that whole building phase - when you're not even sure if you're doing it right. Then the whole waiting to see if it makes money phase.
So, all you have to do is: pick something that appeals to you - keep at it. Then repeat 10x. Once you've tried/stuck at 10 things, you'll have found about 3 that make YOU money. Then ditch the 7 that aren't and find some more things to try! My theory is I'd rather have 10 things that make me £100/month each, than one that makes £1000. It's more stable.0 -

Isn't the poll a bit meaningless unless it relates to the standard of living that the income gives the person who votes?
Another person voting the same amount as me might be using the same money for a luxury holiday or yacht or some "luxury" because they have inherited income or income from their partner where I might be using the same money to exist and pay bills.Torgwen.....................

~24,500 personal, £40k joint.
I agree to an extent about how this doesn't really reflect quality of life, yet at the same time it's interesting (as I think someone already said) to see that "high earners" use the site as well as us FTBs/DFWs/SAHMs and all the other various acronymised groups.
I have found in my various lifestyles (student/gap-year student/full time/part time/high/low wages... all involving a fair amount of debt) that people tend to spend to their means... or a little bit over. Saving money is not just the preserve of the poor but the frugal minded business men (and women) too! I'd like to fall into the latter group one day!Pure Profile: £5.40
Valued Opinions: £2 (not that impressed by them)
RPoints/Quidco: Not much, waiting for a couple to appear on the radar.
Financial Achievements 2008: 1) £46 Agent Provocateur for just £22.43, new and legal!2) Had HSBC waive £100 of fees
