Relate counselling

Go to Relate alone if necessary. If nothing else it may give you back some confidence and self esteem.
Be careful with this. I went along to Relate after the breakup of my marriage. I went alone in the hope of improving my self confidence and self esteem. I was charged £45 for the first session and then a reduced rate of £22 for the second. The first counsellor was good and recommended some sessions to improve my self esteem. The next time I saw another counsellor who said she couldn't help me and that I should do some voluntary work. In the end the whole thing was a waste of over £65.
I had already been to the GP to ask for counselling, she said I wasn't bad enough. She said to go to Relate. It was hard enough for me to ask for help and then when I did I rejected twice. I just didn't bother in the end. Time is slowly sorting me out.0
